With an Ilford sportsman camera and local chemist's processing. My parents kept on telling me to take the picture 'now', but I resisted, waiting for the perfect moment when the image was balanced. I won 7 shillings and sixpence (37p but the equivilent of several weeks pocket money as a 10 year old in the early 60s) for the Church of England newspaper's holiday picture of the week.
i always loved this photo - even when i was only eight years old - its the wash more than the sky or the boat - dont know why .. paul
